Hockey in the Phoenix Valley, and at Arizona State University, has grown tremendously over the past decade. The growth has even seen the state's first collegiate women's hockey program, ASU Women's Hockey. ASU Women's Hockey provides student-athletes with the opportunity to play competitive collegiate hockey at one of the best universities in the country. Even through our short existence, we have become one of the most-followed women's collegiate hockey teams in the country.
The program is a player-funded program and through a combination of practice ice fees, plane tickets, hotels, equipment, and more, our program costs can rise very quickly per season. As we look toward the future, we're thinking big. Our main goal is to be a consistent contender for the ACHA DI National Championship Tournament. We've never been shy about wanting to be the best, and to be the best, we have to play the best. This comes with added training costs and travel costs for our student-athletes.
The community has helped us accomplish great things within our short existence. Your continued support is important and appreciated by everyone involved in the program. Through your support, you are helping ASU Women's Hockey take the next steps toward reaching our goals.
